Spotlight on Burcu Guney Yilmaz, our Researcher in Residence
We are thrilled to spotlight Burcu, the Researcher in Residence at Lincoln Arts Centre and the Barbican Creative Hub.
As you may be aware there has been a few traffic diversions surrounding the University of Lincoln campus recently. This is due to the construction of a footbridge over the train tacks. Network Rail is investing in creating a new pedestrian footbridge over the level crossing at Brayford Wharf East.
This will significantly decrease journey times and hugely improve access across the town in the future when the level crossing barriers are down. To enable Network Rail to do this work, the public footpath and driveway are currently closed and will remain so for a few more weeks.
Lincolnshire County Council will begin work to replace the traffic signals controlling vehicle access to the Brayford Pool campus off Rope Walk (south entrance) on Monday 4 February.
The work is expected to last for four weeks.
During this period the University car parks will be open as usual, however, vehicles leaving the campus via Rope Walk will only be able to turn left towards the High Street / Tentercroft Street.
In addition, access to the south entrance will only be possible by turning left from the direction of the tank roundabout on Tritton Road.
A map of all University car parks is available here https://estates.lincoln.ac.uk/wp-content/uploads/sites/27/2018/07/Lincoln-City-Centre-Parking_May-2018.pdf
