The Nerds are back with a brand new show for Lincoln Comedy Festival. Since their last tour, experiments guy Steve Mould, geek songstress Helen Arney and stand-up mathematician Matt Parker have featured on BBC2’s QI, created a genuinely “experimental” comedy show for BBC Radio 4 and played the Hammersmith Apollo with Professor Brian Cox. Don’t miss the “resplendently geeky trio” (THE TIMES) as they put the “oooh” into zoology, the “fun” into fundamental theorem of calculus and the “recursion” into recursion. Together they’ll be buffing up a veritable Periodic Table of new science, songs, and spreadsheets that will tickle your ribs and light your Bunsen burner. Full Frontal Nerdity guaranteed! Start Time: 7.30pm Tickets: £17.50 Full // £14.50 Concessions Running Time: 1 hour 50 mins (including interval) Age: 14+ Presented by Phil McIntyre Entertainments by arrangement with Noel Gay @FOTSN

Except the card tricks… You have to be bloody good to do them. Start Time: 8pm Tickets: £20 All Tickets Running Time: 1 hour 20 mins (no interval) Age: 18+

This is a show about optimism and hopefulness and about looking for people and things to look up to. It’s about wanting more from life than it might be up for giving out. It’s about struggling with realising what you are, who you are and what you can’t change about yourself, and about really feeling like an outsider for the first time.   I’m 34, I wanted to have kids by now, and be in love, and have a country that didn’t vote with the far right parties to march us all off a cliff. And be able to do all the awesome stuff that activists do, that I can’t do, too. I thought we would have won by now. And I wanted to be taller and better looking.   Following the international sell-out success of her previous show Cara Josephine across the UK, Europe, in Australia and New York, the star of BBC Radio 4’s Romance and Adventure, All of the Planet’s Wonders and presenter of Shortcuts, tours her eighth solo stand-up show nationwide. / / @josielong / @show_and_tell Start Time: 8pm Tickets: £14 Full // £12 Concessions
