SlamJam is a spoken word competition for young people across the East Midlands. Now in its 10th year, the Final is an annual celebration of the hard work and creativity of these 12 – 18 year-olds, as they take the stage to entertain, motivate, influence or transport their audience. Join us to hear their work – and to meet the writers and performers of the future as they compete for the coveted SlamJam trophy! Tickets: £5 Full Running Time: 2 hours (inc. interval)

Against The Grain Slam – Poetry, amplified! Lincoln’s most raucous night of rhymes – 12 poets, 2 rounds, 3 minutes… What is a Slam I hear you cry! Performers get 3 minutes in each of the two rounds to perform a poem, the audience scores each performance out of ten and the winning slammer walks away with £35 and bragging rights, with 2nd place receiving £15 and still a fair amount of bragging rights.
