THERE’S A SHARK IN THE THAMES
REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE. We’re taught it from a young age, yet we still seem to be at square one. Some people say that the climate crisis is something we have all created. But that is just another convenient lie. Because if everyone is guilty then no one is to blame. We’re doing our bit but are they doing theirs? ‘There’s a Shark in the Thames’ blends elements of comedy and physical theatre to explore the pressures felt by the overwhelming presence of climate change. Start Time: 6.30pm Running Time: 70mins (no interval) Tickets: £5 All Tickets Age: 14+ contains strong language.

Is Time real? Whether or not we believe that Time is an artificial construct, we are all affected by it and are constantly aware of its inexorable passing. Who has never experienced a strong desire to exercise control over Time: to slow it down, speed it up, or indeed freeze it altogether? UoL Level 1 Drama & Theatre and Drama & English students invite you to spend 45 minutes of your time with them as they present their ensemble performance The Inescapable Hourglass, a devised piece which explores and reflects on the concept of Time. PLATFORM 7

THE BACKROOMS
Inspired by the eponymous internet ‘creepypasta’, The Backrooms is a carefully choreographed, intertexual performance, set in a mysterious liminal space; an alternate to the everyday, accessible only through the cracks in reality. Labyrinthine walls shift to become ephemeral windows, two-way mirrors and unreachable exits. Bodies mutate. Language gets lost in translation. Devised by a 20-strong ensemble cast of 1st-year theatre makers, this piece interrogates anxiety and identity, (sur)reality, temporality and a longing for escape. Start Time: 7pm Running Time: 60 mins approx. (no interval) Tickets: FREE
