Fri 29th Jan - Fri 29th Jan
The Fire & Light Trail is a pop-up outdoor exhibition that weaves its way through illuminated parkland.
Lit by coloured stage lights, Lincoln Arboretum serves as a backdrop to a stunning Fire Garden, comprised of Fire Stacks, Fire Sculptures, Fire Cans and lanterns, enhanced by pyrotechnics*, fire juggling and a mobile forge – the Fire & Light Trail is a unique kinetic experience of heat and light.
To help fight the pandemic we’ve introduced some COVID-Secure measure below. There is limited capacity for the event. To aid flow and social distancing, the Fire & Light Trail splits each audience group across two entrances (East Entrance off of Milman Road and South Entrance off of Monks Road). Both entrances join the main fire garden loop at different points but complete a full circuit.
Entry Times: 6pm; 6.40pm; 7.20pm
Running Time: Approximately 40 minutes
Tickets: £4.50 Adults // £3.50 Children Under 16 // £13 Family (4 people, max 2 adults) // Babes-in-arms under 18 months are free but must be ticketed.

ABOUT THE EVENT
Location: Lincoln Arboretum, Monks Road, Lincoln LN2 5HU
Parking: Please note there is no parking at the Arboretum and to respect local residents we ask that you walk where possible. The nearest multi-story is Broadgate Car Park approximately 10 minutes walk from the South Entrance.
Weather: The Fire Garden will take place in moderate rain and wind so please dress for weather.
*Pyrotechnics: The Fire Garden experience is enhanced by low-key pyrotechnics supplied by Titanium Fireworks, the display team behind events such as Edinburgh Hogmanay and the Commonwealth Games. Their pyrotechnic display has been carefully selected to avoid particularly loud or intrusive bangs and is primarily a mixture of fountains, jets and some flashes. Although we aim for the display element to be as sensitive and accessible as possible we are aware that fireworks effect people in different ways. If you wish to discuss the content in greater detail please contact our box office team and we will do our best to advise you.
The Fire & Light Trail is our first event since March 2020 and is a direct response to audience requests for outdoor events during the pandemic.
The evening has been carefully designed to support social distancing and COVID-secure best practices. To ensure everyone has an enjoyable and safe experience we have put the following measures in place:
Reduced Capacities: Ticket numbers are strictly limited and the event is split into three booking slots to spread audiences out evenly over the course of the evening. To maximise flow around the space, audiences will be separated out further, joining the trail via two separate entry points. When your 40 minute window closes audiences will be encouraged to leave via different exits.
Rule of Six: In line with Government restrictions on social bubbles, the Rule of Six applies to the Fire & Light Trail. Customers are restricted to a maximum of six tickets for the event and will be reminded not to socialise outside of households or bubbles. If customers live in a household greater than six please contact our box office team to discuss this.
Face Coverings: We ask that face coverings are worn whilst queuing and attending the event unless you are exempt from doing so.
Social Distancing: As noted above we have reduced the capacity of the event and so there should be plenty of space for your bubble to move along the trail, however, we will have plenty of stewards on hand to remind you to socially distance, especially around key sculptures asking you to maintain a 2m gap between household bubbles. We expect you to self-police for the sake of others but if groups consistently break social distancing rules they will be asked to leave by security.
Symptoms & Self-Isolation: If you are displaying Symptoms (a high temperature; a new, continuous cough; a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste) or you’ve been asked to self-isolate DO NOT attend the Fire & Light Trail. In this instance we will provide an appropriate refund if you inform us before the event.
