Lincoln Performing Arts Centre’s £5.9m construction was funded by University of Lincoln, Lincolnshire County Council, City of Lincoln Council, Lincolnshire Enterprise, East Midlands Development Agency, The European Regional Development Fund and Arts Council England.

The project architects were Stem Architects and the consulting engineers were Ward Cole.

Construction was completed in December 2007 and opened on 20 January 2008, with a recital by the cellist Steven Isserlis.

Local History

Prior to the building of the University of Lincoln Brayford Campus, the site now occupied by Lincoln Performing Arts Centre was part of the city’s railway infrastructure.
