Against The Grain Slam – Poetry, amplified! Lincoln’s most raucous night of rhymes – 12 poets, 2 rounds, 3 minutes… What is a Slam I hear you cry! Performers get 3 minutes in each of the two rounds to perform a poem, the audience scores each performance out of ten and the winning slammer walks away with £35 and bragging rights, with 2nd place receiving £15 and still a fair amount of bragging rights. This show is about sleep. It is suitable for those who have slept. Award-winning writer and performer Rob Auton brings his latest comedy show to Roundabout fresh from the Edinburgh Fringe Festival (where he won best joke in 2013). This performance takes place as part of POP OUT Festival 2016 inside ROUNDABOUT a touring pop-up theatre brought to Lincoln by Paines Plough theatre company.
